Dream Inc, tapped Steven Bayles to write a chapter in this book about 32 entreprueners working and living in the Philadelphia area. He shares his insights and thoughts on his thriving business and the secret to his success.
Below is an excerpt...
"When I was 11 years old I had red wagon I pulled around to local gas stations in Phoenixville, Pa. and sold coffee and donuts in the gas lines. I had tons of cash in my pocket at the end of the day until my mom took the expenses out for coffee, donuts, napkins, juice, cups, dimes for phone calls, her gas money.... Urgh! After six hours of inhaling carbon monoxide I saw my big pile of money turn into a little pile. I turned and said to her, "There has to be an easier way to earn a buck." That was my first taste of the entrepreneurial experience.
Of course, I didn’t start right away. Little things like working papers at age 11 were difficult to come across with those pesky child labor laws! I had many jobs as I grew up. I worked for a photography company that allowed me to photograph sorority girls at formals and bid days. What a great job that was!"
